MEMBER POLICY

Welcome to Healthspan! We are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and effective environment for all members to enjoy our wellness services, including Whole Body Cryotherapy, Cold Plunge Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, Infrared and Traditional Saunas, Red Light Therapy, Compression Therapy and PEMF Therapy. This Member Policy outlines the expectations and guidelines to ensure a positive experience for everyone. By becoming a member or using our facilities, you agree to abide by these terms.

1. Membership Terms

  • Eligibility: Membership is open to individuals aged 18 and older. Minors (under 18) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and may require additional consent forms.
  • Membership Types: We offer 30-day and monthly membership plans with benefits such as unlimited access to services. Details are available upon sign-up or via our staff.
  • Payment and Renewal: Membership fees are non-refundable and auto-renew monthly on the 1st of every month unless cancelled through our website at this web address www.healthspanrecovery.com before the last day the month. Freeze and Cancel links can be found on the Pricing page.
  • Freeze Membership: Freeze requests will be accepted for future dates not past dates. Memberships can be frozen for a minimum of 1 month or more but only in 1-month increments. A minimum $39 charge will be applied per month during the freeze period.
  • Transferability: Memberships are non-transferable and may not be shared with others.

2. Reservation and Cancellation Policy

  • Booking: All services must be booked in advance through our app, website, or front desk. Walk-ins are subject to availability.
  • Late Cancellations and No-Shows: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations or no-shows will result in a full session charge. Repeated occurrences (3 or more in a month) may lead to temporary suspension.
  • Session Duration: Arrive 10-15 minutes early. Late arrivals may have shortened sessions without refund.

3. Etiquette and Conduct

  • Respect for Others: Be courteous to staff and fellow members. Maintain a quiet, peaceful atmosphere—no loud conversations, shouting, or disruptive behavior.
  • Cell Phones and Devices: Phones must be silenced or on vibrate. No phone calls, video recording, or photography without prior staff approval. Use of devices is permitted only in designated waiting areas.
  • Hygiene: Shower before and after sessions as recommended for certain therapies (e.g.,saunas). Use provided towels and dispose of them properly. Report any spills or issues immediately.
  • Prohibited Activities: No eating, drinking (except water), or smoking/vaping in therapyrooms. Alcohol, drugs, or intoxicating substances are strictly forbidden on premises.
  • Harassment-Free Environment: We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate language and behavior. Violations may result in immediate suspension or expulsion and membership termination.

4. Proper Clothing and Personal Items

  • Attire Guidelines: Wear clean, appropriate clothing for each service: 
    • Cryotherapy: Provided gloves, socks, and slippers; minimal clothing underneath (swimwear or underwear).
    • Saunas and Red Light Therapy: Lightweight, breathable clothing. Remove jewelry and metal items.
    • Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy: Comfortable, loose-fitting clothes; no heavy fabrics, no lotions, creams on skin or laptops.
    • General: Athletic wear is recommended; use provided footwear or go barefoot where appropriate.
  • Personal Belongings: Healthspan is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Avoid bringing unnecessary valuables.
  • Jewelry and Accessories: Remove all jewelry, watches, and piercings before sessions to prevent injury or interference with equipment.

5. Health and Safety

  • Medical Disclosure: Inform staff of any medical conditions, allergies, or pregnancies before starting sessions. Some therapies may not be suitable for certain conditions (e.g.,pacemakers for PEMF, Cold Plunge or Cryotherapy).
  • Consent and Waivers: All members must sign a liability waiver and health questionnaire upon joining.
  • Emergency Procedures: Follow staff instructions in emergencies. First aid kits and trained personnel are on-site.
  • Facility Maintenance: Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately. Do not tamper with equipment.
  • Age and Health Restrictions: Certain services have restrictions (e.g., cryotherapy or cold plunge not recommended for those with circulatory issues). Staff may deny access if safety is a concern.

6. Facility Rules

  • Operating Hours: Monday-Thursday 7AM-8PM; Friday 7AM-6 PM; Saturday-Sunday 9AM-5PM. Access is limited to these times.
  • Cleanliness: Leave areas as you found them. Use sanitizing wipes on equipment after use.
  • Pets: We maintain a strict pet policy to ensure the comfort and safety of all members andguests. Only documented service animals are permitted on the premises.  Animals must be well-behaved, less than 30 lbs, quiet and always under the handler’s control. Members and guests with service animals may only use predesignated stations and equipment and animals may not be left unattended for any reason. All service animal admissions are subject to final approval by management and may be disallowed at management's discretion for any reason deemed necessary in upholding our facility standards.

7.Termination and Refunds

  • Member Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or cancel your membership for policy violations, non-payment, or disruptive behavior without refund.
  • Refunds: No refunds for unused sessions except in cases of medical necessity (with documentation) or at our discretion.
  • Changes to Policy: We may update this policy at any time. Continued membership implies acceptance of changes.
