How long is a red light session?
10 minutes – due to our customized configuration and advanced panel technology, 10-min is ideal and no more time is needed
What do I wear?
Since photoreceptors are present all over the body, the more skin exposure, the better. However, we encourage you to dress to your comfort level. Red light will not penetrate clothing and we recommend removing access make-up/lotions to enhance results
What can I expect?
Red light therapy is not a hot therapy—like sauna; however, the panels have fans that may generate a little heat. We have added external fans for increased airflow and comfort and you may remove clothing for maximum comfort
Do I need eye protection
Though the red light panels can be very bright, eye protection is not mandatory. In fact, red light exposure to the eye has shown many health benefits. We offer complementary eye protection for those individuals that have sensitivity to light.
How much Red Light Therapy is recommended?
Recommendations are invidualized and can be tailored based on specific goals, however, a very general recommendation is 3-5 times per week.
Will it make me tan?
The wavelengths used in our red light panels do not create a tan
Is red light therapy and infrared sauna therapy the same?
No – photobiomodulation uses different wavelengths of light compared to an infrared sauna and as such, has different benefits. And important note is that photobiomodulation and infrared saunas share the Near-infrared light wave.
Should I wear sunscreen or lotions?
We recommend doing RLT with a clean face, free of makeup, SPF products, retinols, or other skin care products that may hinder absorption or even promote hyperpigmentation.
